Pakistan, India determined for ‘meaningful’ dialogue: FM Khar

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Sunday said both Pakistan and India were determined for holding ‘meaningful’ dialogue on all outstanding issues, she also welcomed China’s interest in South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc), DawnNews reported.
Speaking at a news briefing, on her return home after attending Saarc summit in Addu Maldives, she said bilateral dialogue between Pakistan and India would continue for enduring solution to all outstanding issues between the two neighbours.
Referring to meeting between Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh in Maldives on the sidelines of the SAARC Summit, she said it was very constructive and it reestablished trust among both countries.
The foreign minister further informed that terrorism, water, Sir Creek, Siachen and Kashmir were among other controversial issues which came under discussion with India.
Pakistan proposed to establish Saarc Regional Bank, Khar informed. The pact to deal with natural calamities was the significant progress of the recent Saarc summit, she added.
